MIDDLE SCHOOL

A few things about me that I would like to share with you are first and foremost, I feel so blessed to be doing something that I absolutely love - TEACHING!  Thank you so much for sharing your precious child with me!  I came right out of college to VA and began teaching 3rd grade, where I stayed for 14 years!  I then had the opportunity to move to 2nd grade, where I have been ever since!  I am now starting my 20th year of teaching!  Where does time go????  I have received several different honors including being selected to "Who's Who of America's Teachers" on several different occasions, being selected as KTEN's Teacher of the Week, and a member of Alpha Chi National Honor Society, but the greatest honor is that of being one of your child's teachers this year!

I have three wonderful children, a great daughter-in-law (which I had the honor of teaching when she was in 3rd!) two incredible grandsons, and another grandchild due in December!  (The doctor says it is a girl, but I'm still waiting for the grand entrance!)

I enjoy curling up with a great book, Sonic's Diet Coke, Mexican Food, chocolate, working in my yard, and flowers that smell so sweet!
